Laboratory Management System:
OMV has its head office is
Islamabad having two gas fields in interior Sindh. Given
its increased volume with the startup of new plant at Sawan
coupled with remote locations of plants, laboratory results
were no longer feasible based on a system of manually inputting
data into Excel worksheets. Consequently, the management
wanted to have system which can automate the work flow on
plant, connect process to laboratory on on-line basis and
above all the head office management needed to have access
to plant’s analysis.
Trees LISMan
based on Java, Tomcat, and Oracle
is now providing the backbone to laboratory management solutions
and connecting the overall tiers.
Solution Details: LISMan
is commercial software developed by
Trees Software and marketed by its subsidiary Trees Technologies
allows OMV to have switch-able simultaneous access to one
or more plants. All the analysis on plants are programmed
in flexible frequencies as per their schedules. The analyses
are performed and the results are processed for multi level
validation and final release. The system controls the entire
work of sample points scheduling, sample receipts, results
processing, validations. monitors delays and pending analysis
including NON routine analysis and their current progress.
The system is coupled with add on component to provide state
of art trending software ( LISTrend), Inventory Software
(LISInven), Analyzer Connectivity LISConnect, Remote access
to plant data (LISEchelon) and maintaining/tracking laboratory
equipment for planned maintenance and calibrations (LISMaint).
